Get outbid alerts on your phone

iPhone and iPad

iPhones only show alerts from a site you have added to your Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later).

1. Open the seller's site in Safari.
2. Tap Share (the square with an arrow pointing up). On newer iPhones, tap the ••• button first.
3. Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
4. Open the new icon on your Home Screen and sign in if asked.
5. Tap Turn on alerts and allow notifications. You can also do this any time under My account, Notifications.

Android

1. Open the seller's site in Chrome.
2. Tap Install when we offer it, or open Chrome's menu (⋮) and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
3. Turn on alerts under My account, Notifications, and allow notifications.

Choosing what you hear about

Under My account, Notifications, pick which alerts come by push or email (text alerts are coming soon). Turning push off for one phone leaves your other devices as they are.

Not getting alerts?

• Check that notifications are allowed for the app in your phone's Settings.
• On iPhone, alerts only come to the Home Screen icon, not to a Safari tab.
• Focus or Do Not Disturb can hold alerts back until it ends.
