What's new
What changed on Catalot lately, newest first.
How we keep your sales safe
A new Security page lists what Catalot does to protect a sale, each item checked against how the site is built: card numbers stay with Stripe, money goes straight to your own Stripe account, each company's data is walled off inside the database, staff can't bid in their own sales, and two-step sign-in protects owners and managers. Sell, Features and Pricing link to it.
A printable guide to Capture
Capture's ten features now come as a two-page PDF you can print or hand to helpers: each one has a picture and a one-line how-to, plus a QR code that opens the full help article. It carries no company data, so it's safe to share. Download it from the Capture help article, the Tips page or your back office Home.
Pickup counts buyers, not pickup days
In Pickup, a buyer moves to Done only once every lot they won is handed over or forfeited, across all of a sale's pickup days. A buyer who picked up Saturday but still has a lot waiting Monday stays on Open, with a link straight to that day's check-in. The tab counts are now numbers of buyers.
Tell us what to fix or add
Feedback is in the footer, in My account and under Help in the back office. Report a problem or suggest an improvement, with a screenshot if it helps. When it's fixed or on Catalot, we email you.
Map pins closer to the pickup
Pickup pins now start from the street address, not the middle of the ZIP code. A home's pin sits within half a mile of it, so the exact address stays private. Business addresses show exactly.
My account starts with what needs you
Open My account and the first thing you see is what needs you: a card to update, a pickup to book, unread messages. Below that, lots you're winning or were outbid on with live prices, watched lots closing in the next three days, upcoming pickups with their QR code, and what you won in the last two weeks.
Grid, list or large photos
Every list of lots has a switch above it: Grid, List or Large. Your account remembers one choice for your phone and one for your computer.
Videos on lots
Auction companies can add short videos to a lot, up to a minute each, and show two of them to buyers. They sit after the photos on the lot page, and lot cards say Video. Nothing plays until you tap it.
A new back office, with search
The back office has a sidebar of areas, a bell for what's waiting, and tabs along the bottom on a phone. Search sits in the top bar and finds bidders, lots, invoices, sales and more as you type. Press / to jump to it.
