Catalot text message alerts
Catalot can text bidders when they are outbid and when lots they watch are about to close. Texts are optional. You never need them to sign up or to bid.
How you opt in
When you create a bidder account at catalot.com/account/signup, or later under Account > Settings > Notifications, enter your mobile number and tick this box. It is never ticked for you:
Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent isn't required to bid.
By ticking it you agree to receive automated alert texts from Catalot at the number you gave. You can untick it in your settings at any time.
What we send
Texts come from Catalot and start with the name of the auction company running the sale. For example:
- "Stuart Brothers Auctions: you've been outbid on lot 12 ($45). Bid again: https://catalot.com/lot/..."
- "Stuart Brothers Auctions: lot 7 you're watching closes in 15 min ($30). https://catalot.com/lot/..."
- "Stuart Brothers Auctions: you won 3 lots in Cleaning Business Liquidation. Invoice $112.50: https://catalot.com/..."
We also text about the lots you bid on and win: invoices, card problems, pickup times and changes, shipping and delivery, and replies from the auction company. Auction companies you follow or have bid with may text you when they announce a new sale. Message frequency varies with your bidding. Message and data rates may apply.
Help and stopping
Reply STOP to any text to stop all texts; we confirm once and send nothing more. Reply START to resume, or HELP for help. You can also email support@catalot.com.
